Most people are not and do not consider themselves to be computer geniuses, but almost all business people use a computer daily. If they work in an industry especially long, they are sure to see the advances that have been made and the technology that facilitates their work, once they have been trained to use it.
If you have not jumped on the progression, the technology increases have started, you could be lauling too far behind. A definition of failure is the result of not accepting progress. However, you should keep in mind that progress does not mean the elimination of procedures and processes that work well within a business. If the procedures work just well and nothing is won by changing them, they should stay as they are. Changes should not be made when it is not necessary, although businessmen constantly seek a “better way”. If something works for society, it should stay in effect until something better is found, not only “comes”.
When change is needed because of the new advanced technology, it should be welcomed. The resistance of the employees only makes it more difficult. Employees should be informed that the procedures will change, that new equipment will be integrated or that a new computer system will be integrated. Whenever an employee or department is affected by a change, they should be notified in advance and given enough time to prepare. Employees need positive encouragement so that they easier accept what will happen. This is called the management of changes and its methods must be studied by management before the implementation of the business modification.
Once the new technology is incorporated into a business, employees and administration should see that benefits take effect very quickly. If a change has caused problems within the Company’s procedures, these problems should be focused on and eliminated. Sometimes new computer systems will have bugs or problems that will hurt them to work properly. The leaders of the company must work diligently to find solutions to these problems before causing damage to the company. They should be aware that if the new technology is introduced, they will have to look at these obstacles. They must monitor the progress of the newly implemented changes to make sure it is really beneficial for society overall.
Employees can benefit from new progress and changes because they acquire new technologies and computer systems because their business integrates them (this knowledge is an excellent booster). They can take these new technological skills found with them to another job or to get a higher position in the same company.
